Boston International School has small size classrooms. The advantages are the following:

Positive discipline reduces suspensions and expulsions in schools. This makes a difference between BIS and other schools in Uganda. Most of schools in Uganda suspend or expel students during exam period. This can traumatize a child. BIS has many strategies to deal with stubborn students.
Boston International School explains this section to parents in disciplinary committee department. There is no corporal punishment at Boston International School.

Boston International School always organizes parties for students who graduate. High school parties are an important rite of passage. The convocation, the banquet, and the dance are the social invents that define where high school ends and "the rest of the life" begins. It is a time to celebrate, a time to say goodbye to close friends, and a time to look to the future. Immediately after the formal ceremonies and events, many graduates continue their celebration by attending after-grad parties. Parents and friends are invited to celebrate graduation party at BIS.
Cultural Day at Boston International School involves students, teachers and parents who create , participate and celebrate culture and art in our community. Our students are welcome and encouraged to celebrate our diversity by performing activities in class and in assembly.Our students dress in attires from different cultures and nationalities across the world. In Boston International School, we have such a rich culture based on different nationalities represented at the school.
Cultural day is a chance where we celebrate each other with different and unique backgrounds. Students have an opportunity to showcase diversity through multiculturalism in arts, music, fashion and food. Friends, relatives and neighbors are invited at Boston International School to participate.
The Award Day celebration at Boston International School brings all of us together as a community. The purpose of award ceremony at BIS is to celebrate students' achievements and motivate them to continue on their path. Friends, parents and relatives are invited to participate. Our selected students are given gifts from different people as one family.
Convocation ceremony is a formal ceremony where BIS administration, staff, families and friends come together to honour and celebrate a students' accomplishments as they cross the stage to receive their credentials.
Each year, creative writing teachers at BIS hold an " Authors' Day" where published writers and illustrators teach sixth grade students about their crafts. On the day of the event, students rotate through various workshops in the school library. Teachers encourage students to continue sharpening their writing skills.
BIS birthday celebration can be fun, academic, and still leave your child beaming with birthday bliss. In the weeks leading up to your child's big day, check with his/her teacher to create a celebration that fits in with the school day while making your child feel special.

At BIS, the main focus is to provide the best education possible to students. In return, BIS expects students to excel with high grades. BIS does not only focus on education, but it focuses also on students' talents. Many students have various talents and don't get the opportunity to showcase them.
At BIS there are two boarding sections.
Boys' section and girls' section.
Learners live a family life in boarding by working together under the supervision of matrons and wardens who are teachers at BIS.
